Despite the fact that there is still a considerable amount of vital matches to play, the January transfer window is looming on the horizon, and United is desperately trying to reach it as if sailing towards a secure harbor on tumultuous seas. It could give them the jolt they need to finish strong.

United’s league standing has improved after a string of solid performances, but Erik ten Hag’s team is still obviously below par. There have been numerous heartbreaking defeats, and even the successes have been far from convincing.

United do not appear to be a club capable of winning any trophies at the moment, with a biblical injury crisis wrecking havoc on the squad. With so many crucial players missing, any club in the world would struggle, and it’s not surprise that United has appeared fragile.

United can enhance their squad choices and bring in some extra quality in January to help turn their fortunes around. However, it will not be easy.

United struggled to sign numerous strong players when they had the entire summer to work with, so a single month doesn’t bode well. Furthermore, United is now operating on a shoestring budget in order to avoid exceeding FFP.

Due to overspending in recent summers, they are unable to spend large sums, which is why Sofyan Amrabat had to be recruited on loan rather than permanently on the last deadline day. However, if monies can be obtained through sales, there may be some wiggle room.

Donny van de Beek was at the bottom of the pile, one of five players in an unpleasant situation. The Dutchman was supposed to leave in the summer but was unable to find work. His playing time at Old Trafford has not risen, with only two outings to his name, and he recently confessed he may move in search of more action. He has the support of 96.8 percent of his supporters.

Jadon Sancho came in second, with only 9.7 percent of respondents preferring him to stay. The forward has struggled to make an impression since his big-money signing from Borussia Dortmund, and that was before a stunning disagreement with Ten Hag forced him out of the squad. He hasn’t played for Manchester United since September and is unlikely to do so again.

Antony is another winger who has fallen short of expectations, yet only 19.7 percent of respondents believe he should be sold. Ten Hag was anxious to sign the Brazilian and sanctioned an £80 million deal, so the heat is on.

Despite his strong performance and excellent goal against Everton, only 26.9% of fans believe Anthony Martial should be retained in January. Given United’s limited attacking alternatives, it’s difficult to see him leaving. Finally, Shola Shoretire is the fifth player who fans believe should be traded.
