Liverpool won big against LASK, Jurgen Klopp is still not satisfied about one thing

Liverpool just won 4-0 against LASK at Anfield. With Toulouse drawing with Union Saint-Gilloise, The Kop will definitely top the group and have a ticket to the round of 16.

Liverpool had a comfortable match as Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo put the home team up 2-0 within 15 minutes. They made 24 shots on goal with 9 shots on target throughout the match.

At the beginning of the second half, LASK also had a few good opportunities, almost poking through goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. Coach Jurgen Klopp admitted he did not like the way Liverpool handled such pressure.

“The most important thing is that we are top of the table and nothing can change now. There are a lot of positive things but there are a few things I don’t like so much.

I always say that the team must continue to work hard, must try and finish the match before the first half ends. If there is an opportunity at the beginning of the match to finish everything, you have to take it immediately, but Liverpool did not do that today.”

“It was 2-0, 3-0 and then we played a little more open and gave them a chance, let Caoimhin make a few saves. For Caoimhin it was good but anyway I didn’t need”.

But Klopp was delighted with the news that his team secured top spot in the Europa League, meaning they will avoid having to compete in the play-off round. Having tickets to continue early will help Liverpool reduce pressure when the schedule will be much busier in the new year when the FA Cup third round begins.

The Kop is in pretty good form this season. They are ranked 3rd on the Premier League rankings, 2 points behind top team Arsenal and have lost only 1 of the last 10 matches.
