On a spectacular night, Luis Diaz opened the scoring, Mohamed Salah scored a penalty, and Cody Gakpo scored twice. This was Liverpool at their most dominant.

But that wasn’t the end of it. Jurgen Klopp was particularly impressed with Conor Bradley, who came off the bench late in the game to make his European debut. Bradley, who spent time on loan at Preston North End, is certainly a guy Klopp would like to have in his future squad.

“I love it,” he told TNT Sports when asked about Bradley getting on. “You can see in those few moments that he is a real talent for us.

“We really count on him. It is so nice. There are a lot of positives. I told him after the game to enjoy it. He is very football wise but the body still needs to grow.”

Bradley has always been an intriguing Liverpool talent with a bright future in football. He also had a difficult task ahead of him in having to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back. Given that the latter isn’t exactly an elderly player, it was never clear how Bradley obtained regular playing time.

However, this new midfield/right-back hybrid role could be beneficial to him. Alexander-Arnold is now spending more time in midfield, which could open up the right-back position for someone else. When Bradley came in for Liverpool, the Scouser moved there and even registered a late assist.

Klopp obviously seems keen to see more of Bradley, and this could be how he accomplishes that.
