Radu Dragusin, a defender for Genoa, has piqued Manchester United’s interest, a Romanian daily ProSports claims. 

The Romanian international is being courted by teams like Newcastle United, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur over a potential summer transfer. According to Pro Sports, United has started what is known as the “Dragusin operation” and made contact with the former Juventus defender.

According to a recent report from the Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb, Genoa intends to extend his contract but will put in place a “gentleman’s agreement” in the event that a bid of about £25 million is made. As interest in the 21-year-old rises, the new contract offer and “gentleman’s” clause are intended to prevent “torment and turbulence.”

After spending the previous season on loan with the Italian club in Serie B, Dragusin, 21, signed a permanent contract with Genoa last summer for £4.75 million. He was instrumental in the team’s promotion to the Italian top division.
