Zendaya astounds her father with a California fantasy home, the kind of dwelling that every parent desires

The good relationship between Zendaya and her parents is not a secret. The internationally renowned actress (“Euphoria,” “Dune,” the “Spider-Man” franchise) continued to reside with either her mother Claire Stoermer or her divorced father Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, an Oakland native, despite owning multiple residences; the two remain close “homies,” per Zendaya.

As per available records, the 26-year-old has acquired homes for their parents, following in the footsteps of A-list celebrities The Rock, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Beyoncé. For a house that would be occupied by her father, she spent $1.9 million. In the far-flung Los Angeles suburbs of West Hills, San Fernando Valley, in close proximity to Woodland Hills and Calabasas, the opulent residence is concealed.

The 1990s-built two-story residence was last advertised for sale for $1.1 million in 2008, subsequent to which renovations were undertaken. New parquet floors adorn the main level of the residence, which also features a double-height lobby with light periwinkle-colored walls.

French doors in the formal dining room provide direct access to the pool area. In contrast, the living and family rooms are furnished with individual fireplaces. Connected to the family area, the fully remodeled kitchen features eat-in bar seating and is adorned with dark brown cabinetry and white quartz countertops.

The approximately 3,400-square-foot structure contains five bedrooms, or three on the upper level and two on the main floor. The master retreat located upstairs is distinguished by a designated lounging area, an exquisitely renovated bathroom, and a private terrace offering awe-inspiring vistas of the mountains and city lights. An area located beneath has been converted into an office space.

A raised spa adjacent to the swimming pool, grassy front and rear areas, and a built-in barbecue center with bar seating are additional exterior features. In addition to a covered loggia that provides respite from the oppressive San Fernando Valley heat outdoors, a circular fire pit is available for roasting marshmallows on chilly evenings. The estate is tucked away in an upscale housing community, where $205 per month in HOA dues contribute to the maintenance of park-like common areas and a neighborhood security patrol.

Zendaya, apart from her father’s opulent new digs, manages several residences herself. These include an apartment in New York City and her initial purchase, a Mediterranean-style house situated in the Northridge neighborhood of Los Angeles. However, despite this, the $4 million hilltop estate in Encino remains her most costly holding.
