Tottenham ended their three-game losing streak at the Etihad with a sensational late header from Dejan Kulusevski in a tense 3-3 draw.
After Spurs appeared to have thrown away the game, Kulusevski’s header preserved a point. Minutes earlier, Yves Bissouma’s blunder set up Jack Grealish’s goal, which appeared to seal the game for the home club.
The visitors were handicapped by injury, but they stayed dedicated to Ange Postecoglou’s aggressive, forward-thinking style. They took the lead in the first half thanks to Son Heung-min’s well-worked break goal, but defensive troubles soon surfaced.
City had numerous chances in the first half, with Jeremy Doku and Julian Alvarez hitting the crossbar, but led at halftime. An own goal leveled the game two minutes after Son’s opening goal, before City completed an exquisite play for Phil Foden to put them ahead.
Tottenham fought their way back into the game in the second half, equalizing through Giovanni Lo Celso. After Jack Grealish appeared to be through on goal in injury time, the game was stopped for an earlier foul on Erling Haaland.
