The 25-year-old was in the center of it all, seemingly opening the scoring in the first half with a spectacular free-kick before netting a late winner on 88 minutes.

While replays showed the ball striking the underside of the crossbar and hitting the back of Fulham keeper Bernd Leno for what will most likely be called an own goal, the England international did manage to score the game-winning goal only seconds after Wataru Endo had equalised for the Reds to make it 3-3.

Alexander-Arnold ran towards the Liverpool fans at Anfield after the free-kick, pulling out a hushed celebration with a knowing smile on his face as his teammates hurried to congratulate him.

However, several football fans on social media were baffled by the Liverpool full-back’s choice of celebration, wondering why Alexander-Arnold was shushing his own fans.

“Did he just shush the Anfield crowd?” asked a third. with a fourth agreeing: “He’s shushing his own fans.” “Brother, who exactly is he shushing?” questioned a fifth.
