His extensive engagement in the squad comes only months after he was on the verge of leaving Old Trafford for rivals West Ham United, according to Euro Sport.

After sliding down the pecking order under ten Hag, United were eager to move the Englishman in the summer.

However, the former Leicester City player has forced his way back into the lineup, and the Dutchman is now using him more frequently.

The defender’s involvement and contribution earned him a nomination for the prestigious Premier League Player of the Month award in November.

Maguire has been named the winner of the monthly award

Maguire was nominated for the award alongside Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling, according to 90Min.

Jeremy Doku of Manchester City, Anthony Gordon of Newcastle, Thomas Kaminski of Luton Town, and Marcus Tavernier of Bournemouth were also nominated.

Maguire, on the other hand, was the final winner.

The 30-year-old has the joint-most blocks for the month and the fifth-most clearances to have a major claim to the accolade.

The Englishman will be hoping to solidify his spot in the United XI ahead of Raphael Varane, who has been relegated to the bench.
