Dwyane Wade sold his Miami Beach home, which had a basketball court modeled after the Miami Heat, for $22 million.
Wade and his wife, Gabrielle Union, are real estate investors. They sold their Sherman Oaks property in May for $5.5 million after purchasing a 17,000-square-foot showplace in Hidden Hills for $17.9 million the previous year.
The $22-million-dollar deal is less than the $32.5-million-dollar asking price for the oceanfront home, but it is more than double the $10.645-million-dollar price he paid in 2010. The property was turned by the three-time NBA champion into a 12,000-square-foot house complete with a wine cellar, movie theater, pool, cabana, and private dock.
The two-story Mediterranean-style mansion has a long covered entryway, a verdant courtyard, and rustic interiors with vaulted ceilings and wooden floors. Bay windows can be found on both levels.
The estate features six bedrooms and ten bathrooms, as well as a master suite with a terrace and salon. The waterfront backyard features a spiral staircase, a playground, and a basketball court painted in the colors of the Miami Heat, where Wade spent the majority of his NBA career.
In 16 NBA seasons, Wade, 39, was named to 13 All-Star teams. With the Miami Heat, he won three NBA titles and the scoring title in 2009. He retired in 2019 and invested in the Utah Jazz this year.
