Alan Shearer criticized Nicolas Jackson for what he does when the Blues have possession of the ball

Alan Shearer has now criticized a player for Chelsea for his actions when the Blues have the ball.

He asserted that Nicolas Jackson could have scored last night if he had been more precise with his touches during the halftime coverage on Amazon Prime.

Jackson had another relatively quiet evening for the Blues as they lost at Old Trafford to Manchester United 2-1.

Chelsea was unable to salvage any points from the match despite Cole Palmer’s stoppage-time goal in the first half, and Mauricio Pochettino must have been extremely frustrated with the team’s overall performance.

In particular, Enzo Fernandez had a difficult evening despite saving face early on when he gave up a pointless penalty that Robert Sanchez saved.

Jackson and Raheem Sterling broke through and appeared to have a clean sheet in the first half, which presented one of Chelsea’s best opportunities.

The 22-year-old was fed by the Englishman, but Andre Onana immediately smothered him, making the opportunity disappear.

He said: “I disagree with Ally. I think it’s a decent pass from Sterling. There is no need for him to let that ball run across him and hit that first time. We said about it before the game about him taking too many touches. That has to be one touch and in the back of the net.

“Forget about taking a touch when you are seven yards out and in the middle of the goal. Why? You don’t need it. For me that’s an incredible chance.”

Armando Broja, who entered the game late last night and appeared more threatening right away, will now pose a threat to his spot in the starting lineup.
