Following Manchester City’s defeat at Aston Villa, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp declared his team to be in the title fight.
Klopp was speaking following their victory over Sheffield United last night.
When asked if the title race will go to the last week, he replied, “I have no idea!” I hope not if we win. I have no idea. That will be seen.
“I don’t know if they win or lose, but writing City off would be the biggest joke in football history, it really makes no sense.”
“Arsenal is obviously fighting, had a similar experience as we did a few days ago, it feels really good; anyway, you have to play the next game from the start again, and it’s 0-0 and not 4-3 already, and you don’t score a late goal and can take that into the next game.”
“Aston Villa is fantastic. United is there, they don’t play yet, I’m not sure who wants it, the media or anything, some disagreements, but they have points like crazy, so they’re there. Chelsea, I’m not sure if they’re still coming.
“All of these things, and you have to play them anyway.” What does it matter where they are? We have to play them, and they are tremendously powerful, as is the league. To get through difficult times, especially with injuries, you must be lucky. So I have no idea where this is going.”
