Man Utd may create a new role for Bruno Fernandes by signing a ‘magic’ £103M player

Despite having a fantastic season the previous year, Manchester United has been one of the most puzzling teams to watch this year. They have put on frightening performances in the Premier League and are practically certain to be eliminated from the Champions League.

They managed to defeat Chelsea on Wednesday night, though, and now sit in fourth position, just three points below Manchester City.

In May, the Red Devils might even be ahead of their rowdy neighbors if Erik ten Hag can keep his team performing at the same level as they did against the Blues in the upcoming months.

That objective would be simpler to accomplish if United signs Florian Wirtz, the tremendously intriguing midfielder to whom they have recently been linked. This would free up Bruno Fernandes to play out wide more frequently.

Florian Wirtz’s transfer to Manchester United

Last month, a report from Sky Sports Germany claimed that Manchester United was keeping a “close eye” on Florian Wirtz. Although they haven’t gotten in touch with the player or the club, they are still highly interested in the young Bayer Leverkusen star.

The other interested parties will be a major challenge for the three-time European champions to overcome, as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are both rumored to be very interested in the young midfield player.

Any deal will also probably cost an arm and a leg because Leverkusen value their player at above €120 million, or roughly £103 million, according to Sky Sports.

Football talent scout Jacek Kulig called the player “elite talent,” and he already has eight goal involvements in just 12 Bundesliga starts for Leverkusen this season, suggesting he might be worth the enormous expenditure.

Furthermore, Fernandes could be able to fill in on the right if he arrives at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag could unleash Bruno on the wing to accommodate Wirtz

Playing the captain and greatest player on the squad out of position to make room for a youthful, new addition may raise some eyebrows.

But if Wirtz were to sign with United, his production thus far and his future prospects would support him playing in the attacking midfield position. Furthermore, Fernandes is more than capable of playing well off the wing.

The Portuguese international shown that he can continue to produce excellent results even when he isn’t beginning in the center of the field by playing on the right wing seven times for club and country last season, contributing four assists and three goals.

According to U23 scout Antonio Mango, the advent of the “magic” German would probably push Fernandes to the wing, but having both of them in it would definitely help the team.
