Manchester United are willing to offers for Raphael Varane and Casemiro’ in January

According to reports, Manchester United may consider bids for Casemiro and Raphael Varane in the January transfer window.

Although the two former Real Madrid players have nine Champions League crowns between them, it doesn’t seem that Erik ten Hag, the head coach of the Red Devils, has either of them in his long-term plans.

Varane, 30, is falling down the defensive depth chart in terms of playing time, as seen by his eight Premier League appearances in the 2023–24 season.

The former France international has not started a league game for the Red Devils since the end of September, and he has not played in any of their last three Premier League games.

Varane’s perceived decline in the standings following Jonny Evans’s return to fitness has generated much discussion over his future, with Saudi Arabian teams reportedly closely monitoring his circumstances.

Varane has made 75 appearances for Man United, contributing one assist and two goals, but with Harry Maguire’s form, there isn’t a clear path back into the starting lineup for him.

In contrast, Casemiro signed a four-year contract with the team when he came at Old Trafford in the summer of 2022 and made an impression during the 2022–2023 season.

The captain of Brazil has four goals and one assist so far this season, although he has missed time due to a hamstring injury that began at the beginning of October.

The Independent claims that when the January transfer window opens for business, Man United will consider offers for both Varane and Casemiro.

According to the source, Casemiro is reportedly drawing interest from Saudi Arabia and wants “different experiences at this stage of his career.”

The midfield player is anticipated to recover from his injury before the end of the season, but if the appropriate offer comes up in January, he might decide to leave.

Although Ten Hag has stated that the club is unlikely to make any signings in January, if Varane and Casemiro were to depart in the midst of the season, the club would most likely have to make an acquisition.

Varane was not even included in the squad for Wednesday’s match against Chelsea, as the team disclosed that he was unable to be selected because of a back issue.

Jadon Sancho, an Englishman who is presently not included in the first team at the club because to his falling out with Ten Hag, is also expected to depart Old Trafford during the winter transfer window.
