On Thursday night, the Los Angeles Lakers won 133-89 thanks to LeBron James’ magnificent performance against the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Lakers eliminated the Pelicans from the NBA’s In-Season Tournament, setting up a showdown with the Indiana Pacers for the first-ever NBA Cup.
James scored 30 points and dished out eight assists in just three quarters of play, shooting 9-12 from the field. He was perfect from beyond the arc, making all four of his three-point shots, including one from the NBA logo.
Anthony Davis scored 16 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for his 19th double-double of the season. Taurean Prince led the club with five three-pointers, while Austin Reaves thrived in his sixth-man role, scoring 17 points and giving out seven assists.
Los Angeles’ overall dominance delighted fans, with James’ incredibly efficient night creating the most talk.
The Pelicans shot only 23% from three-point range as a team, with the starters shooting 2-14. Zion Williamson made six of his eight field-goal tries, but only one of his six free throw attempts, while turning the ball over three times in 26 minutes.
His quiet night upset NBA fans.
