Manchester United is considering every possibility in relation to Jadon Sancho’s anticipated January departure.
The winger will begin his fourth month of banishment from United’s first squad and its facilities when the window opens in a few weeks. As things stand, it appears that the player should leave as neither Sancho nor Erik ten Hag are showing any indications of letting up.
Whether Sancho leaves on a loan or a permanent basis is still to be seen. If the latter is the case, United will understandably have to make concessions on his high asking price; since he joined the Reds in 2021, they have paid an eye-watering £73 million to pry him away from Borussia Dortmund, and in 82 games since then, he has only managed to contribute 12 goals and six assists.
In comparison, he scored 50 goals and provided 64 assists in 137 games while playing in Germany, so it’s clear why Dortmund is eager to bring him back for a second term.
Dortmund wants to bring Sancho back
Sport BILD reports that Dortmund is interested in signing the 23-year-old, hoping to help him regain his form and career. However, because Dortmund is always short on cash, they would prefer a partial exchange where Donyell Malen, who is linked to Liverpool, would be sent to Old Trafford in exchange for Sancho.
In an attempt to fulfill his long-term ambition of moving to England, Malen recently hired SEG, whose other clients include Rasmus Hojlund and Ten Hag, as a new agent.
