Divock Origi has lavished praise on a Liverpool figure, calling them “the best I’ve seen.”
Brendan Rodgers brought the Belgian international to Anfield, but he quickly became a fan favorite under Jurgen Klopp after scoring a number of crucial goals over the years.
The current Nottingham Forest striker won every major prize during his time on Merseyside and has praised our German manager, citing the memorable 4-0 Champions League defeat of Barcelona as one of his favorite memories.
“To be honest, he’s the best I’ve seen in terms of pre-game speeches, goosebumps bro, he speaks from the heart bro, it’s crazy.” I only recall. “I don’t remember what he said (before the Barcelona game), but he came with energy, like ‘yeah, we can do this,'” Origi told GOAL (via The Boot Room).
It was a sad day for the club when Origi left in the summer of last year to join Serie A team AC Milan.
He was never a regular starter under Klopp, but he was always a threat when he was on the field, and his goals against Barcelona at Anfield, as well as his countless strikes against Everton, will be remembered.
Despite all of his career achievement, our former No. 27 is still only 28 years old and will feel as if he still has a lot to give.
His time at the San Siro did not go as planned, but he will be looking to make the most of his season-long loan at the City Ground this season.
