They currently have at least eight residences dispersed across the country. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, a powerful couple in the entertainment industry, have added to their collection by spending $11.3 million on a large property in Hidden Hills, a guard-gated neighborhood well-known for housing Drake and Kaley Cuoco, as well as Kylie Jenner and Jeffree Star.
The two-story home, which was built on speculative land last year, has more than 10,000 square feet of interior space and is described as a “Napa Modern” residence in the advertisement. The Smiths got the keys to the estate for around $1 million less than the asking price of $12.2 million. The estate, which was completed in early 2020 on speculative grounds, has been on the market since June of last year.
The 1.2-acre property sits on a ridge with views of the San Fernando Valley and is quietly secluded at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac behind a long road.
A double-height entrance with views across the house, an open kitchen with two islands and a spacious pantry, a soundproof movie theater with velvet walls, and a game room with a wet bar are just a few of the modern amenities found inside the all-neutral interiors. A formal dining room with a glass-enclosed, refrigerated wine closet, a gym with its own steam shower, and other amenities are available.
Upstairs, the main suite has a fireplace, sitting space, two dressing rooms, a built-in refrigerator, and a coffee bar. Each of the six bedrooms in the house has its own ensuite bathroom. Outside, stone loggias open to a full outdoor kitchen with BBQ and an infinity-edged pool with an integrated spa, making them ideal for outdoor gatherings.
A full-size sports court, a campfire seating area, and a “serenity lounge” are also included in the backyard. Surprisingly, the mansion is surrounded by only a few trees; there is no vast green area or even much landscaping. However, the Smiths should be able to save money on maintenance fees as a result of this.
The home’s magnificent rooms will most likely be changed into something more contemporary by an interior designer engaged by the new owners. The couple’s $42 million mega-estate outside of Calabasas, which has been their primary property for many years, was featured in Architectural Digest for its distinctively Moroccan-inspired decor, rich hues, and quirky furniture.
