Because of this aspect, Obama’s residence drew a lot of attention

A new renowned family has moved to Martha’s Vineyard, a lovely island off the coast of Cape Cod in Massachusetts that has long been a summer resort for America’s elite.

Former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have purchased a seven-bedroom property on a 29-acre estate overlooking the Edgartown Great Pond between Slough Cove and Turkeyland Cove.

Barack and Michelle have spent several summers on Martha’s Vineyard since Barack was still a senator in Illinois and after they moved into the White House.

They were following in the footsteps of Bill and Hillary Clinton and a long line of presidents dating back to the nineteenth century who fell in love with the island’s calm community life and stunning sea views.

The 2001-built home is nothing if not spacious, with 6,892 square feet, eight and a half baths, a garage, a barn, a pool, and direct access to the pond with enough room to park a boat.

The Obamas previously rented the home for several weeks over the summer of 2019, so they are aware with its advantages.

The mansion was originally listed for $22.5 million in 2015, but the price has been dropped in half over the last five years.

This will be the Obamas’ second home, after their huge nine-bedroom Tudor style estate in DC’s Kalorama district.
