CF Montréal transfers $400,000 in general allocation funds to the Los Angeles Galaxy in exchange for defender Raheem Edwards

In exchange for defender Raheem Edwards, the LA Galaxy have obtained $400,000 in 2024 General Allocation Money (GAM) from CF Montréal.

CF Montréal acquires Canadian defender Edwards from LA Galaxy

Edwards, 28, had three goals and 11 assists in 70 games (55 starts) for the LA Galaxy in two seasons (2022-23), earning LA Riot Squad Player of the Year accolades in 2023. In 152 regular-season games (96 starts) in eight seasons in Major League Soccer (2016-Present), the Toronto, Canada native has eight goals and 23 assists. During the 2023 season, Edwards had two goals and four assists in 30 regular-season games (21 starts) with the LA Galaxy. Edwards has made five international appearances (4 starts).
