Mohamed Salah win Standard Chartered’s November Player of the Month

The Standard Chartered Men’s Player of the Month for November is Mohamed Salah, who plays for Liverpool.

The Egyptian wins the award for the third consecutive month after coming out on top of a Liverpoolfc.com fan poll.

In his six outings during that time, Salah not only contributed an assist but also scored three times, keeping the title ahead of colleagues Trent Alexander-Arnold and Luis Diaz.

He told Liverpoolfc.com after receiving the trophy on Tuesday at the AXA Training Centre: “It’s good to win this award, always. The most important thing is winning games and scoring goals for the team, for sure. That’s the most important thing.”

In the Premier League, Salah scored twice in the 3-0 victory over Brentford at Anfield. Later, he made the crucial pass that allowed Alexander-Arnold to equalize in the away draw against Manchester City.

His tally for the club reached 199 goals as he closed out the month with a goal from the penalty spot in the 4-0 victory over LASK, helping to earn qualification to the Europa League Round of 16.

When asked which November moment was his favorite, the No. 11 replied: “Probably the City one because we were down 1-0 and we managed to score one goal and equalise the game, so I think I would say this one.

“Scoring goals also is good but in that month it could be that assist for Trent.”

December has seen Salah and the Reds maintain their winning ways in the Premier League, as Jürgen Klopp’s team has won three straight games.

The Egyptian, meanwhile, became just the fifth player at LFC to reach 200 goals for the team in all competitions when he scored against Crystal Palace last weekend.

“It’s great to score 200 goals for such a big club. I’m very happy about it,” said Salah. “We had a little celebration after the game with the team and also with my family. Very pleased about it.”
