Magic and his wife “Cookie” Johnson took a week off from their summer trips to reunite.
He added that the 63-year-old former NBA player and the 64-year-old former model “shared a beautiful night in Dubrovnik, Croatia” at the Nautika Restaurant.
Instagram photos with the description, “The view was spectacular and the food was amazing,” show Magic and his wife riding a carousel.
The Nautika Restaurant, according to Magic, had “amazing” dinners and was “right behind” Fort Lovrijenac, “where Game of Thrones was filmed!”
Johnson was compelled to cut short his vacation and return to the United States after it was revealed that he and others, including Apollo Global Management co-founder Josh Harris, had purchased the Washington Commanders. According to the Wall Street Journal, on July 20, all 32 NFL owners agreed to a $6 billion deal that granted the group control of the franchise.
During his vacation, Magic Johnson called the possibility of becoming an NFL owner a “great opportunity” on the Today show.
On July 21, Magic sobbed as he said to Today host Craig Melvin, “As a proud Black guy, it’s crucial to me to shatter these boundaries and go through these doors. “You’ve made me cry,” I said.
“I don’t know why God gave me these opportunities,” the NBA Hall of Famer said, “but I’m going to excel, not only for myself, but for my family, and for all African Americans, making sure we can see [ourselves] in these seats.” And I want everyone to know that we are capable of completing this project.
