Is it possible that while Ronaldo and Messi admire each other on the field, they are jealous of one another?
Football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are often in the spotlight due to their incredible on-field accomplishments, as seen by the countless prizes they share.
But, while they respect each other on the field, may they be jealous of one another?
In his most recent podcast, English footballer Rio Ferdinand revealed an astonishing discovery about Messi, an Argentine footballer who currently plays for Inter Miami.
According to the Daily Mail, Ferdinand stated that Messi unfollowed Argentine footballer Alejandro Garnacho on Instagram just because he considers Ronaldo his idol, despite the fact that the World Cup-winning captain is his national teammate.
“Do you want to know what I admire about him? He couldn’t care less. “Garnacho told me that Messi unfollowed him because he is open about his preference for Ronaldo,” the former footballer stated.
“He comes out and says, ‘I’m a Ronaldo man.'” Who is the greatest of all time? Ronaldo. Even when he’s part of the Argentina squad.”
Football enthusiasts reported in April 2022 that Messi unfollowed Garnacho on the photo and video-sharing app after he posted a photograph of Ronaldo, proclaiming him the best.
He posted the Ronaldo photo just three weeks after he posted a photo of himself with Messi and referred to him as his “idol.”
Messi, on the other hand, no longer follows the Manchester United star, despite Garnacho still following him on Instagram.
