The Boston Celtics defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers (at home) by a score of 120-113 on Tuesday evening.
Their next game will be against the Cavs (again) on Thursday.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Wednesday afternoon that the organization had signed Drew Peterson to a two-way contract.
After playing five seasons of college basketball for Rice (two) and USC (three), Peterson went undrafted this summer.
In 33 games last season (with USC), he averaged 13.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting 44.2% from the field and 35.8% from three-point range.
Peterson was most recently with the Sioux Falls Skyforce (the Miami Heat’s G League affiliate).
Because Nathan Knight was waived on Tuesday evening, the Celtics had an open two-way roster space.
The Celtics are the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference after going 17-5 in their first 22 games.
They are 7-3 in their previous ten games and on a two-game winning streak.
The Celtics are a perfect 11-0 at home in Boston, Massachusetts.
