Manchester City is forcing Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr to change game times due to a clash with the Club World Cup

When it comes to Manchester City, it appears that Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr is not interested. With the forthcoming match against Al-Ettifaq clashing with the Citizens Club World Cup, Al-Nassr has rapidly adjusted their game schedules. The action comes as no surprise given that both clubs are controlled by Saudi Arabian businessmen who do not want to dilute viewership.

Manchester City will be attempting to win the Club World Cup this season. After winning the Champions League last season, the team will play directly in the tournament’s semi-finals. The team will also benefit from the comeback of Kevin De Bruyne, who is expected to play in the competition.

Al Nassr, led by Cristiano Ronaldo, alters their game times

Al Nassr has made some minor changes to their game timings for their encounter against Al-Ettifaq on December 22nd. Because Manchester City’s game times overlap with the side’s, Al-Nassr has decided to move their game forward to prevent a clash.

While Al-Nassr’s game versus Al Ettifaq was scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM (Riyadh Time), it has now been changed to 6:00 PM (Riyadh Time) to prevent a clash with the Club World Cup finals. The decision was most likely made because Manchester City is widely regarded as the tournament’s favorite to reach the finals.

The game will also be watched closely since Manchester City talents Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne are expected to make their Club World Cup debuts. While Haaland has been out of Manchester City’s lineup for the previous two games, De Bruyne has been out for the majority of the season owing to hamstring problems.

Manchester City will benefit greatly from the return of key players during the Club World Cup

In a recent press conference, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola mentioned a possible return for De Bruyne during the tournament. “I think he’s started to run on the pitch,” Guardiola said, “but he hasn’t trained with us once.” The FIFA Club World Cup will take place in two or three weeks. I’m not sure. Maybe it’s too early, but I’m not sure (at this time).”

While he is not certain about De Bruyne’s comeback, the Spaniard did say that star scorer Erling Haaland could be back by Thursday. It would be intriguing to watch if Manchester City brings out their best players for the competition or decides to rest them before of the team’s big matchups.
