Former Manchester United star offers advise to struggling Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford has failed to find the back of the net for Manchester United this season, scoring only twice in the 2023-24 season.

Rashford’s struggles are mirrored in the team’s overall performance, with the Red Devils dropping to sixth in the Premier League standings and exiting the Champions League after finishing bottom of their group.

Rashford’s lack of production has been exacerbated by the team’s poor results as one of the team’s longest-serving players.

Wes Brown, a long-time United defender, believes Rashford still has what it takes to serve the club and has urged patience as the 26-year-old works through his difficulties.

“Marcus has been brilliant for us over the years that he’s played but he has struggled a little bit this season with confidence and performances, but Marcus is Manchester United,” Brown was quoted as saying.

“He won’t be happy with what’s going on on the pitch right now, and he’ll want to get things back to normal as soon as possible.”

“A lot of people are very quick to write him off, he’s still young, he’s still talented and he has a lot to offer this team.”

Rashford scored 30 goals in all competitions last season, and Brown believes the youngster can recover his form if he is willing to put in the effort.

“Last season, he was fantastic, as for this season, he’s hit a bit of a rocky patch,” Brown said ESPN. “He should just train hard, get back into the team, and try to start scoring goals again.”

“He will absolutely come back from this, I think over the next few weeks, we will see a fresh and brand-new Marcus Rashford.”
