Fast Food giants Kentucky Fried Chicken mock Ten Hag with cruel social media meme

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is the latest firm to criticize Manchester United’s current struggles.

Because United is one of the most successful and largest clubs in football history, it is natural for fans of other teams to rejoice in their defeat.

They’ve got a lot of comedic material this season, as the club has lost 50% of their games and tumbled out of the league cup and Champions League before Santa has even arrived.

The Daily Star state that, “if you’d told a Manchester United fan KFC’s (yes, Kentucky Fried Chicken) social media team would be mocking them come December at the start of the 2023/24 season, they might not have believed you”.

United supporters would undoubtedly argue that there has been very nothing realistic about this season after humiliating home defeats to Brighton, Crystal Palace, and, most recently, Bournemouth.

When the Red Devils were easily knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern Munich, the American fast food giant saw an opportunity to strike. Another defeat at home, you guessed it.

KFC borrowed a message from a United fan on X (previously Twitter) from September, when things were looking a little brighter for the Red Devils. The poster stated that “Ten Hag is cooking something” to imply that the team was performing well when they defeated Palace 3-0 in the League Cup.

This was an uncommon game this season in which Manchester United managed to play effectively while winning comfortably.

KFC, on the other hand, discovered this tweet and shortly after the game on Tuesday night, posted, “The cooking,” attaching a photo of a ‘SFC Take Home Boneless Bucket,’ a product marketed in supermarkets in the United Kingdom, below their caption.

The wind-up surely delighted a slew of opposition fans, as well as those United supporters who can see the bright side of their team’s difficulties this season.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the Red Devils have had poultry troubles this season. The club was presented with an unpleasant and plain absurd circumstance in which they may have served uncooked chicken at a party and caused food poisoning to several visitors.

KFC were not the only fast food company to perceive a marketing opportunity at the cost of the Old Trafford side. Domino’s Pizza tweeted, “just tried to deliver to Man Utd but they’ve gone out.”

Fortunately, as Christmas approaches, United fans can put the chicken on hold and stick to turkey this time of year.
