The American fast food giant mock Man Utd with Erik ten Hag ‘cooking’ pic

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), a fast food chain, is the most recent to make fun of Manchester United’s present struggles.

Since United is one of the biggest and most successful football teams ever, it makes sense that supporters of rival clubs would take pleasure in their defeat.

Due to the club’s 50% losing record and early elimination from the Champions League and League Cup before Santa has arrived, this season has produced a great deal of hilarious content.

The Daily Star state that, “if you’d told a Manchester United fan KFC’s (yes, Kentucky Fried Chicken) social media team would be mocking them come December at the start of the 2023/24 season, they might not have believed you”.

Given their painful home losses to Brighton, Crystal Palace, and Bournemouth only last weekend, United supporters would likely argue that not much about this season has been credible.

The American fast food chain saw their opportunity to act when Bayern Munich handily eliminated the Red Devils from the Champions League. Yes, yet another loss at home.

KFC borrowed a September statement from a United supporter on X (previously Twitter), when things appeared a little more promising for the Red Devils. When Ten Hag defeated Palace 3-0 in the League Cup, the poster implied that the team was performing well. It read, “Ten Hag is cooking something.”

This season, Manchester United achieved the uncommon feat of both playing well and winning handily in a unique game.

After discovering this tweet, KFC quickly shared a picture of the “SFC Take Home Boneless Bucket,” which is available in UK shops, with the comment “The cooking” following the game on Tuesday night.

Many supporters of the opposition were likely delighted by the wind-up, and it’s possible that some United supporters were also made fun of for their team’s achievements this season.

Regretfully, the Red Devils had experienced issues with chicken this semester before. The club may have caused several visitors food poisoning by serving raw chicken at a party, which put them in an awkward and somewhat absurd scenario.

Not just KFC saw a chance to gain exposure at the expense of the Old Trafford side. “Just tried to deliver to Man Utd but they’ve gone out,” tweeted Domino’s Pizza as well.

Fortunately, United supporters can avoid the chicken this time of year and stick to the turkey as Christmas Day draws near.
