Jayson Tatum’s Dunk In The Cavs-Celtics Game Is Going Viral

The Boston Celtics will play the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday evening in Boston, Massachusetts.

During the game, All-Star forward Jayson Tatum made a beautiful dunk that went viral on social media.

Jaylen Brown started the fast break and gave the ball to Tatum, who took one dribble and slammed it down. 

Tatum has averaged 27.4 points, 8.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.0 steals per game in 22 games, while shooting 49.1% from the field and 34.9% from three-point range. 

With a 17-5 record in their first 22 games, the Celtics are the first seed in the Eastern Conference.  

They are 7-3 in their previous ten games and on a two-game winning streak.  

The Celtics most recently defeated the Cavs (also in Boston) by a score of 120-113 on Tuesday.

Tatum had 25 points, ten rebounds, five assists, and two blocks in 41 minutes of action, shooting 7/19 from the field and 2/9 from three-point range. 

Tatum was the third overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Duke and is in his sixth season with the Celtics.

He has appeared in the NBA All-Star Game in each of the previous four seasons and has established himself as one of the top 15 players in the league.

Following Thursday’s game, the Celtics will play the Orlando Magic in Boston on Friday evening.  

They have a perfect 11-0 record when playing on their home court.
