Erling Haaland will not play in City’s Premier League match against Palace in Manchester.

Haaland is currently out with a foot injury, which has kept him out of the club’s latest Premier League and Champions League matches against Luton Town and Red Star Belgrade.

Without the Norwegian striker, Argentina forward Julián lvarez will lead the line for City on Saturday as they try to end the week on a high note and jump back into the top three of the league.

During his press conference on Friday, City manager Pep Guardiola stated that he does not expect Haaland to play against Palace due to a foot ailment.

Guardiola revealed that the 23-year-old is being treated for the problem.

“He’s been having treatment away,” Guardiola explained. “He arrived today (Friday), and we’ll see what happens; the doctors will examine him.”

“Hopefully he can travel to Saudi after the game and after we’ll see if he’s able to play the first game or second.”

Guardiola said, “No, it’s not structure, it’s just stress,” when asked if he was concerned about the Norwegian’s ailment. We’ll have to see how he feels day by day, week by week.”
