Christian Eriksen, a Manchester United midfielder, has returned to first-team training at Carrington.
Eriksen has not played since suffering a knee injury against Luton Town on November 11, but he returned to full training on Monday and could be fit this weekend.
After a week of training, the 31-year-old is close to returning to full fitness and might play against West Ham at the London Stadium.
Eriksen was starting his third consecutive game for United when he was injured against Luton last month, and he’s made six Premier League starts this season.
Erik ten Hag picked a midfield of Kobbie Mainoo, Sofyan Amrabat, and Scott McTominay to face Liverpool at Anfield, with the latter starting in the No.10 position owing to the suspension of Bruno Fernandes.
Mason Mount and Casemiro were both ruled out of Sunday’s trip to Merseyside owing to injuries, and updates on those two, as well as the latest on Eriksen, will be provided at the next press conference.
When Ten Hag speaks to journalists at Carrington on Friday afternoon, he will provide an update on the latest team news. Tyrell Malacia (knee) and Lisandro Martinez (foot) remain out with injuries.
Malacia just underwent more surgery, and the club is taking its time with Martinez’s comeback. The center-back returned to limited individual training last week but is not likely to play again until at least January.
