According to rumors, Everton do not want to sell defender Jarrad Branthwaite and would only consider offers of approximately £100 million for their rising star.
Jarrad Branthwaite has established himself as a first-team regular at Everton.
The big 21-year-old has been a revelation for the Toffees this season, carving out a spot in their back line for himself.
The England Under-21 international has made 16 appearances across all competitions and has been a crucial figure in Sean Dyche’s team’s recent form.
Branthwaite began his career at Carlisle United, where he made his League Two debut as a youth, before joining Everton in 2020. He has gained experience on loan at both Blackburn and PSV, where he played in both the Champions League and Europa League.
He is now starring in the Premier League and garnering interest from clubs such as Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Borussia Dortmund.
If any team is able to entice the defender away from Goodison Park, he will be extraordinarily pricey, with i news suggesting that Everton has priced him at £100 million.
The centre-back only signed his most recent contract with Everton in October, with the deal extending until 2027, so the Toffees are under no obligation to sell on those terms.
Sean Dyche has been pleased to place his trust in the 21-year-old.
Dyche has been impressed with the defender since last season, when he spoke to him during his time with PSV in Holland, and he liked the youngster’s personality.
‘I think you can never describe someone’s character, but even last season, when I first got here, I could tell he was very level, he was enjoying the experience [at PSV], he was taking on the challenge,’ Dyche added.
‘He was unlucky in pre-season, missing a couple of weeks, but he seemed to be such an assured, calm type. That is something I look for in all players, but especially in center halves. His adaptation to the pace and complexity of Premier League game has been pretty noticeable, and I believe he will continue to improve. Physically, he is a good specimen, as we all know.
‘But I must say he is playing in front of a very good goalkeeper and a very good centre half next to him in James Tarkowski, which I think helps as well, Myko [Vitalii Mykolenko] is improving all the time, and Youngy [Ashley Young] was playing next to him early season too, an older head speaking to him all the time, so these are the things that improve you as a player,’ says the manager. But, by the way, kudos to him for taking up the task himself.’
