The Galaxy will kick off the 2024 Major League Soccer season at home against Messi and Inter Miami CF on February 25. Messi, who joined MLS last summer, will make his second trip to Los Angeles.

Inter Miami faced LAFC in front of a sold-out crowd at BMO Stadium in September, which included a large list of celebrities.

The Galaxy’s season opener was scheduled for Feb. 25, but it was canceled due to a severe rainstorm.

The new MLS season will begin on Feb. 21 with Inter Miami traveling to Real Salt Lake, making the trip to Los Angeles significantly shorter.

This will be the Galaxy’s second match with Inter Miami. When the teams played in 2021, the Galaxy won 3-2 on April 18.

The Galaxy will play in the Rose Bowl again next season. Following last season’s record-breaking showdown, the annual July 4 game will be played against rival LAFC once more.

The first “El Trafico” match of the season will be held on April 6 at BMO Stadium, followed by the third on September 14 at Dignity Health Sports Park.

Aside from LAFC, the Galaxy will meet the San Jose Earthquakes three times this season. San Jose will host on March 2 at PayPal Park, and Stanford on June 29. The Galaxy will play at home on April 21.

The Galaxy will play six games against Eastern Conference opponents. In addition to Inter Miami, New York City FC and Atlanta United FC will visit Carson. The Galaxy will visit Nashville SC, Charlotte FC, and Chicago FC.

The Galaxy will play 28 of its 34 games against Western Conference opponents. Early next month, players are anticipated to report for training camp.

The league will take a break once more for the second edition of the enlarged Leagues Cup tournament featuring Liga MX teams. The competition will begin on July 26th. The Galaxy’s final game before the break is scheduled for July 20. League action will resume on August 24.

The MLS calendar will be dominated by weekend games, with only seven games scheduled on a Wednesday or Thursday.

The Galaxy’s regular-season finale will be on the road against the Houston Dynamo on Oct. 19.
