Manchester United has issued an official statement regarding the Super League

Manchester United announced on December 21 that they would continue to participate in UEFA tournaments, despite a European court ruling that UEFA and FIFA broke EU law by impeding the development of the Super League.

Man United was one of 12 clubs involved in the formation of a new Super League in April 2021, but withdrew due to fan, government, and player pressure.

“Our position has not changed,” said the club. We are still fully committed to competing in UEFA tournaments and actively working with UEFA, the Premier League, and clubs through the ECA to develop King’s sport in Europe.”

MU has stated its intention to attend UEFA activities.

In addition to MU, the Super League includes five other Premier League clubs: Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Arsenal.

Two months after six English clubs announced their resignation from the project in 2021, they promised a total of 22 million pounds ($27.78 million) as “a gesture of goodwill” to the sport, including new investment in fans, facilities, and community programs.

The Premier League further declared that any club attempting a similar tactic in the future will be punished 30 points and fined £25 million.

In another development, the German Football League (DFL), the Bundesliga’s regulatory body, announced that it “clearly supports the European sporting model and rejects competitions outside the League and UEFA.” Following that, the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) of France announced that they “fully support” UEFA competitions.
