Photos: Manchester United trained at Carrington ahead of clash against West Ham United

In preparation for their Premier League matchup at West Ham United this coming weekend, Manchester United had practice at Carrington on Thursday.

As he attempts to press for a comeback, Christian Eriksen was once more a member of the core group. The Denmark international told us he is eager to return to action after being sidelined following a knee injury he sustained during the 1-0 victory against Luton Town last month.

Both Amad, who hasn’t played this season due to an injury sustained during the US trip, and captain Bruno Fernandes, who is not on suspension following his one-match punishment from Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Liverpool, participated.

Naturally, Erik ten Hag will have to contend with another absentee for disciplinary reasons this weekend as Diogo Dalot is not allowed to travel to the London Stadium after being sent off during the last moments of the draw the previous Saturday.

With teammate forward Anthony Martial out at Anfield in the previous matchup with Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League, Marcus Rashford came off the bench on Merseyside and should have overcome his illness.

The two substitutions made against Liverpool were Jonny Evans for the injured center-back Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo for Fernandes. Willy Kambwala, another defender, was sitting on the sidelines for the first time.

Among others who have been sidelined are Mason Mount, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, and Victor Lindelof.
