Update news ahead of West Ham clash: Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes return

Manchester United practiced at Carrington on Thursday ahead of their Premier League match against West Ham United this weekend.

Christian Eriksen was back in the main group as he seeks to make a comeback. The Denmark international has been out since suffering a knee injury in the 1-0 win against Luton Town last month, but he is eager to return.

Amad, who has not played this season due to an injury sustained during the club’s tour of the United States, and captain Bruno Fernandes, who is free from suspension after serving a one-match punishment in the 0-0 draw at Liverpool on Sunday, also took part.

Of course, Erik ten Hag will have to cope with a new absence due to disciplinary reasons, as Diogo Dalot will miss the journey to the London Stadium after being sent off in the dying seconds of last weekend’s draw.

Marcus Rashford came off the bench on Merseyside and will hopefully have recovered from his illness, with fellow forward Anthony Martial absent at Anfield due to a UEFA Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.

The two substitutions against Liverpool were Kobbie Mainoo in place of Fernandes and Jonny Evans in place of injured center-back Harry Maguire. Willy Kambwala, another defender, was named to the bench for the first time.

Others on the bench include Victor Lindelof, Tyrell Malacia, Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro, and Mason Mount.
