The Boston Celtics have revealed their injury report for their game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Boston Celtics face the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles, and star forward Jayson Tatum is classified as questionable with a left ankle strain. Tatum suffered a left ankle injury in Boston’s loss to the Golden State Warriors, but he was able to finish the game after hobbling back to the locker room.
Tatum did not play in the Celtics’ game against the Sacramento Kings the day following their loss to Golden State. Tatum’s performance against the Warriors was an encouraging sign that the ankle injury was not too serious, but he was forced to miss one game and is now labeled as doubtful for tonight’s game against the Clippers.
With Clippers star Kawhi Leonard labeled as questionable for this game due to a left hip injury, both teams could be without their top players in this one. This would significantly reduce the suspense for what would otherwise be a highly entertaining and star-studded contest, so perhaps both Leonard and Tatum will be available.
Despite ending their nine-game winning run against the OKC Thunder on Thursday night, the Clippers have been playing much better of late. Boston has been consistent all season and is typically a tough opponent. For the time being, there are two major injury concerns in this game.
