Kevin Hart Purchases $7 Million Calabasas Mansion for Family Vacation

In some cases, two is better than one. And the more money you have, the more often and pressing these cases become. Kevin Hart is one of the wealthiest guys in comedy, with a reported net worth of $200 million. According to public documents, he has put $7 million of his fortune into a mansion next to an even larger one he already owns.

Hart’s custom-built home residence, which is located in a tiny gated community on the semi-rural outskirts of Calabasas, was completed in 2018. The 9500-square-foot, vaguely contemporary, Mediterranean-style home sits on a 26-acre site, 24 of which are steep hillside and hence unsuitable for development. Aside from the main home, the luxurious estate contains two detached guesthouses, a children’s playground, a large swimming pool, and a volleyball court.

The next-door 16.3-acre estate is primarily hillside, but a two-acre graded property includes a 9,300-square-foot, stylistically ambiguous home with a grey tiled roof, as well as an infinity-edged swimming pool, a full-size tennis court, spacious lawns, and extensive gardens. The house, which was built in 2004, was never formally offered for sale.

Hart also bought the house next door from Shakim Compere, a Miami and Los Angeles-based film producer best known as Queen Latifah’s longtime business partner. Flavour Unit Entertainment was created in 1995 by the Queen and Compere; since then, the firm has inked an exclusive overall contract with Netflix and produced over a dozen films and television series.

Compere and his wife Tonya paid $6.7 million in 2015 for the high-maintenance mansion in Calabasas, so it appears unlikely that they profited from the sale to Hart and his wife Eniko Parrish.

Hart (“Jumanji,” “Think Like a Man,” “Get Hard”) now rules over a 42-acre estate that includes two swimming pools, two sports facilities, and several structures totaling roughly 19,000 square feet of living space. Off-street parking is also available for a large number of automobiles.

Hart’s “extra” house is hidden behind gates on a large lot. Six bedrooms and six restrooms are hidden behind its beige stucco and stone facade.

The formal living and dining rooms are spacious, with large windows and wide-plank oak floors.
