Despite a mediocre start to the Premier League season, City remains regarded as one of the world’s top teams.

The Manchester club won the Club World Cup last week with a 4-0 victory over Fluminense of Brazil.

Their success can be attributed in part to Pep Guardiola’s skill, the wealth of their Saudi Arabian owners, and the positive atmosphere in the team.

And Grealish, one of the squad’s more eccentric members, has said that one of his teammates is one of the craziest people he’s ever encountered.

Grealish remarked of City shot-stopper Ederson in an interview with ex-Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster for Amazon Prime: “He’s crazy, you know?” He’s a weird old man. But I believe his personality benefits him.

“He’s so calm on the pitch, but off the pitch he’s just like, he’s just mad, honestly,” Grealish continued.

“Like, we’ll be walking through a door, and I saw him do it the other week and I was like, ‘what the -‘.”

“Obviously, the doors are this high [hand gestures above his head], and we’re walking through the hotel to get to a meeting.”

“Keep in mind that I have the stiffest hamstrings ever, and we’re just walking when he goes and kicks the [top of] the door.” Keeping in mind the doors like this, the top of it, and he’d just kick it.

“And then he’d just walk around blasting balls in training.” He’s insane, the most insane person I’ve ever encountered. He’s just angry, to be honest.

“He certainly has the whack to the other side of the pitch, but his pass appreciation for a keeper…

“Say he’s there and Kyle Walker is here, because the manager is huge on pass appreciation.” For you to throw it into someone’s path so they can go somewhere.

“And Ederson every time – he doesn’t give it to Kyle here, so he has to touch, stop, and look.” It’s always in his path, and we’re just getting away.

“It’s terrifying, to be honest. He also has one of the best penalty kicks I’ve ever seen.”
