According to a new story, Manchester United have stated their position on Mason Greenwood’s comeback.
Greenwood was suspended by United last season as the club conducted an internal investigation into his behavior.
Charges of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behavior, and assault causing actual bodily harm had been dismissed against the player at the time, following the withdrawal of a key witness.
Following the conclusion of their inquiry, United stated that Greenwood would not play for the club again, and on transfer deadline day, he was loaned to Spanish club Getafe for a season, with his parent club covering his wages.
While Greenwood has yet to regain the form that saw him hailed as a future United great, he has made an important contribution at Getafe.
