Guardiola’s departure? Man City boss is expected to’reject’ a return after’receiving the offer he’s been waiting for’

Pep Guardiola’s biography believes that the Manchester City manager will not leave the Premier League champions to return to La Liga or coach Spain.

Guardiola, widely regarded as one of the best managers in Premier League history, improved his standing even further last season when he led City win the Treble.

Man City added to their 2023 trophy pile earlier this month when they defeated Brazilian club Fluminense in the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia.

Guardiola has been Man City’s manager since 2016, and the club has seemed unstoppable in the Premier League for much of that time.

City fans will be desperate for Guardiola to stay for as long as possible, but his current deal expires in 2025.

According to rumors in Spain, Guardiola is being considered by the FA as a replacement for England, and the Man City manager has’received the offer he had been waiting for for years’ to coach England and’may quit in the summer’.

After having Sam Allardyce and Gareth Southgate as England managers, Guardiola’s appointment seems too good to be true.

Guardiola has also been suggested as a possible contender for the manager’s job in Brazil, and his biographer, Marti Perarnau, has explored why “social reasons” related to his support for an independent Catalonia state make it unlikely that he will manage Spain or return to La Liga.

“I don’t think due to sporting reasons (he would choose not to coach in Spain), but social reasons, yes,” Peranau was quoted as saying by Marca. “Because political reasons within football would make little sense.”

“You don’t manage a team for political reasons, that is, because you support this or that person’s policy.” For social considerations, I believe I would rule it out.

“There is an obvious rejection; there is a sizable portion of the Spanish population that thinks differently than Pep, and thus there is a rejection, but it is social.”

“I don’t believe it’s political.”

“I also don’t think the Spanish Federation would consider having him,” Peranau added, “for the same reason.”

“It would be provoking an unnecessary conflict, which neither side wants.”

“How are you going to get yourself into that mess?” That is my perspective.”

Guardiola rose through the ranks at Barcelona and played for the club for the most of his career. Between 2008 and 2012, he led them to three La Liga crowns and two Champions League triumphs.
