Garnacho hits back at all criticism after scoring a brace against Aston Villa

Alejandro Garnacho, a winger for Manchester United, gave his teammates credit for their contributions to the Red Devils’ Boxing Day 3-2 comeback victory over Aston Villa.

After Leander Dendoncker and John McGinn gave the visitors a 2-0 lead at the half, Aston Villa appeared set to hand Manchester United their 14th loss of the year.

However, Garnacho scored twice before Rasmus Hojlund netted his first Premier League goal of the season to give Erik ten Hag’s team the victory in the second half.

Despite having a strong scoring record in the Champions League this season, Hojlund has not scored a goal in 16 straight Premier League games. Garnacho was happy to see his Man Utd teammate break his goal drought.

“I’m very happy Rasmus has got his first (Premier League) goal,” Garnacho told Amazon Prime.

“Too many people talk about the strikers at United not scoring goals.

“But today you saw Marcus Rashford with an assist and we [Garnacho and Hojlund] scored, so we are very happy. It is one of the best days of my life.”

With just 21 Premier League goals in 19 games this season, Man Utd’s attackers are now led by Garnacho, who has scored three.

Hojlund declared to reporters that he was the happiest man alive at the moment, ending his streak of goalless Premier League games. We have faith to the very end, and today we once again displayed great character.

Although it has been a while in the Premier League, I have scored a few goals in the Champions League. I’m hoping to improve on it. We three attackers are delighted with ourselves since we demonstrated a lot of character today.

Now that he has scored his first goal in the Premier League, Man Utd manager Ten Hag is supporting his striker to start hitting goals frequently.

Of course, Ten Hag spoke highly of Hojlund, saying, “You can do it, believe. I’ve had several talks with him and every time I’ve pointed out he has scored for Denmark a lot, he has scored in the Champions League, he has demonstrated his ability.”

“Now that he has scored his first goal, I’m sure he will score more.

“It is a concern when a striker fails to score, but his strong character and unwavering determination make up for it.” He’s got a lot of personality. This is what a striker needs, in my opinion. Keep investing, and the goals will materialize.
