Liverpool are apparently looking for a new left-back and have begun talks with Fulham about the possible acquisition of left-back Antonee Robinson, according to 90min.

Due to injury, Liverpool are short on natural left-backs, with Andy Robertson suffering a dislocated shoulder and Kostas Tsimikas breaking his collarbone. As a result, Jurgen Klopp has relied on Joe Gomez at the left-back position. In light of this, Liverpool is aggressively looking for a new left-back, with Antonee Robinson identified as a possible replacement.

According to 90min, Antonee Robinson is open to a move to Anfield, and Liverpool is now negotiating a deal with Fulham for the 26-year-old left-back.

With both Robertson and Tsimikas out for an extended period of time, Liverpool’s reliance on Joe Gomez as the lone alternative poses a big risk. Waiting for Robertson and Tsimikas to recover could jeopardize their title bid this season, making it critical to get a suitable left-back like Antonee Robinson in the January transfer market.

With Jurgen Klopp preferring a high defensive line, Robinson’s quickness might assist cover off through balls in behind the Reds’ back four.
