Salah will participate in Liverpool’s New Year’s Day match against Newcastle before joining Egypt for the tournament in Ivory Coast next month.

Salah might miss at least seven of Liverpool’s forthcoming matches if Egypt repeats their success from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

Klopp informed fans that he had a “solution” for Salah’s absence, but he was hesitant to reveal anything before the game against Newcastle in case his team suffered any further injuries.

“Each long-term plan I could have had depends massively on who is available,” he told reporters at the time.

“So why should I think about who I can use when Mo is away in October when I have no idea who is available?”

“We have solutions today, and I hope we will have them after Newcastle.” It is not the first time you have lost your goal scorer; in fact, it is a pretty common occurrence. But it was considerably worse before when Sadio [Mane] and Mo went.

“We always made it through.” Historically, at least one of them has advanced far in the tournament, which makes things much worse.”

Wataru Endo, a Japanese midfielder, will also miss the Asia Cup, which will be held in Qatar from January 12 to February 10.

“We have to get through this,” added Klopp. “We knew the Africa Cup of Nations was coming, and Mo had to leave, so we had to deal with it, that was always clear.”

“With Endo, we now have an Asian Cup participant as well.” We were aware of it, and now we must deal with it, which we shall.”

Liverpool now leads the Premier League table with 42 points, two points ahead of Arsenal in second place.

Klopp stated that he is “six times happier” than he was at this point last season, when his club placed sixth in the table.

However, he cited Liverpool’s injury crisis as a potential impediment to the club’s sustained success this season.

Alexis MacAllister is still out with a knee ailment, while Kostas Tsimikas and Andy Robertson are also out with upper-body problems.

“This team is in the middle of something and we just try to make the best of it,” Klopp told reporters.

“We discuss injuries that other teams have. We had a lot [as well]. Both left backs are not [fit], which is unfortunate, but we have found a method to compete in the next game.”
