According to The Guardian, Ten Hag told reporters:

“I’ve been focused on the game[s] so far, so I said, ‘No, in this moment, I don’t want distractions.'” However, there will be time for this in the coming days and weeks, and then I’ll know more.

He continued, saying:

“But I think it’s a very positive thing.” We’re very excited to be collaborating. INEOS wishes to work with me in this structure, and I wish to work with them. I haven’t had the opportunity to speak with them yet due to my hectic schedule, but it will come.”

The former Ajax executive continued, saying:

“In other clubs, they have experience; in other sports, they have a lot of experience, a lot of knowledge about performance.” So I’m excited to see how they can contribute, which I’m convinced they will. Football is a highly complicated sport, especially at the top, so I’m confident they’ll contribute and help us reach our lofty goals.”

On Christmas Eve, it was disclosed that Sir Ratcliffe had purchased 25% of Manchester United’s shares and that INEOS would be in charge of football operations (via Fabrizio Romano).
