Nicolas Dominguez and compatriot Gonzalo Montiel combined to open the scoring after a 0-0 first half.

Forest goalkeeper Matt Turner looked nervous and eventually succumbed to Man United’s siege when he mishandled a pass into the path of Alejandro Garnacho, who found Marcus Rashford to finish the play.

Turner came back with a wonderful save minutes later, and Morgan Gibbs-White scored 17 seconds later with a blistering shot from the edge of the box.

Forest held on for an important three points, lifting them five points above the relegation zone, while United lost an opportunity to move up to sixth place.
