Thiago Silva’s fury after Luton win reveal real Chelsea problem in dressing room

The look of Thiago Silva did not like someone who had just emerged victorious from a football match. But that was the end of it. It was complete anarchy for the last sixteen minutes, and not in a good manner.

If you’re watching the game as a neutral, it was probably good. However, they would have been nerve-wracking, unwatchable, and very frankly intolerable for Chelsea supporters.

As everyone continues saying, the team, the young team, was giving up right in front of our eyes. However, they didn’t go far enough. The final sixteen minutes, during which Ross Barkley gave Luton Town a goal back, overshadowed Chelsea’s otherwise excellent away effort.

Less than ten minutes before halftime, Noni Madueke fired one home after Cole Palmer took advantage of an early error by the hosts and delivered a fierce effort into the corner. Mauricio Pochettino, who has managed no less than four Premier League victories over recently promoted sides, will have been pleased with his team’s performance in the first half of the match.

Pochettino, meanwhile, was aware that Luton would not give up easily. Prior to kickoff at Kenilworth Road, the Argentine urged on his team to demonstrate fighting spirit. Take on the challenge with gusto. And it seemed like the Blues were for much of the game.

However, no. The Hatters rallied and came dangerously close to earning one of the most significant points in the club’s illustrious past. Chelsea, however, held their ground, and Silva did not appear at all happy.

At the conclusion of the game, the 39-year-old was shown on screen staring off into space with an extremely serious expression. Silva has prevailed. Even though he knows he won’t be satisfied, he has gained everything. However, it’s just the beginning.

Chelsea needed the three points more than ever after being winless on the road in recent weeks, dropping four straight Premier League games against Manchester United, Newcastle United, Everton, and Wolverhampton Wanderers. As Luton counterattacked, though, the youthful squad appeared rattled.

The fact that Chelsea can’t decide on a back-four isn’t helping either. In the previous ten Premier League games, Pochettino has utilized three different center-back combinations. Silva has been paired with Luton’s Axel Disasi in five of those games, but the two haven’t been able to establish a consistent rhythm.

They must continue playing games in order to accomplish that, and only if Pochettino believes they are his finest defensive duo. However, Chelsea is searching Europe for other options and would like to add a new central defender when the January transfer window opens.
