Andre Onana: A kind-hearted man involved in charitable work

Manchester United paid a huge £47 million for the Cameroonian goalie to replace David De Gea.

One report from 2020 said that Onana spent some of his pay to build a power grid for a small African town.

Cameroonian Onana didn’t want to support Mengueeme at first because that’s where his mother grew up. But after getting a £20,000-a-week deal with Ajax in 2019, he thought he had to give back. With the money he made, Onana built a power grid that kept people in Essoessam from having to use kerosene lights.

In 2016, Andre Onana also started the Andre Onana Foundation to help kids in Africa. People can get a better education, medical care, and help after terrorist acts with the money this group gives them.

Samuel Eto’o, who used to be a star player for Barcelona, also helped Onana become famous. Onana learned how to play football at Eto’o’s school in Cameroon. He began going to the La Masia school when he was 14 years old. Eto’o helped Onana, and he was grateful, but things didn’t go as planned while he was in Catalonia.

Barcelona got in trouble with FIFA in 2014 for hiring young players from other countries without following the rules. Because of this ban, the young players at Barcelona, including Onana, could not play in any games for 18 months.
