Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s delight at seeing his team beat Newcastle United at Anfield swiftly turned to disappointment when he misplaced his wedding band during the chaotic post-match celebrations.

The incident occurred after Liverpool defeated Newcastle United 4-2 despite a superb performance by goalie Martin Dbravka, who made 10 saves. The victory put Klopp’s squad three points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Because Klopp misplaced his wedding ring, it took the quick eye of a TV cameraperson to find it in the middle of the pitch. In front of the cameras, the relieved German manager responded by kissing the ring.

“I lost it once and I needed a professional diver because I lost it in the sea,” he said. “It happens from time to time when I lose one or two kilos.” I was too animated, and I lost it, resulting in a huge shock. The cameraman has irritated me several times this season, but he now has a lot of shots free since it was incredibly crucial.”

Klopp had celebrated with his players and was walking toward the supporters, cheering, when he realized he was missing his wedding ring. He examined the grass nearby, even asking a steward if he would mind assisting with the search.

The person controlling the camera for British channel Sky Sports then directed Klopp to the location of the ring.
