David De Gea considered ‘RETIREMENT’ after 12 years at Old Trafford

Manchester United and David de Gea were a couple for a decade. The 33-year-old was one of, if not the finest, goalkeepers in the world at the pinnacle of his profession.

Manchester United legend David de Gea almost retired after he departed from the club.

The fans were taken aback when the Spanish player announced on social media that he was leaving the team. The athlete then announced that, should a decent offer not come his way soon, he might think about retiring.

As his career draws to a close, De Gea does not want to remain a benchwarmer. He wants to give it everything he has on the field, not just on the sidelines, if he decides to play again. To induce him to don his gloves once more, a ridiculous offer from a well-known team will be necessary.

An opportunity at Newcastle United has been mentioned. But, due to Nick Pope’s injury, the team is merely in search of a goalie. For De Gea, this will almost certainly be a deal-breaker.

It could seem conceited for him to desire to be the starting goalie. However, considering the 30-year-old’s track record in goal at Manchester United, everything makes sense.
