Very happy to be back at home' - Firmino and Fabinho on special Anfield visit - Liverpool FC

“I’m very happy to be back here at home, at Liverpool, and at the stadium as well, Anfield,” Firmino said to Liverpoolfc.com. “I’m grateful to God for bringing me these moments to watch the game again.” I’m not playing, but I’m watching the game and seeing the boys.

“It’s always emotional [to be here], you can’t forget about it.” We had a really good history here at the club that we achieved together, and no one can claim it; it’s already in the history books. We are here to help.”

Firmino is now leading the line for Al-Ahli, while Fabinho is representing Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

Both, however, have kept a close eye on Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool’s development during a period of change.

“It’s really important for the team that the players that arrived are already playing good football, really integrated to the team,” Fabinho stated in a statement.

“Players like Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, and Endo are performing admirably.” It’s significant because the squad has lost several key players. They’re doing a good job, in my opinion.

“Unfortunately, Thiago isn’t playing regularly [right now], but I’m sure his experience is assisting these players as well – he talks a lot, and he has really good communication.”
